Cinnamon sugar is great way to add a festive flavour to any recipe.
- stir into coffee, tea, or hot chocolate
- sprinkle onto pancakes
- sprinkle onto waffles
- sprinkle onto yogurt
- sprinkle onto crème brûlée before caramelizing
- sprinkle on top of muffins before baking (like these tea cakes)
- roll donuts in cinnamon sugar
- sprinkle onto oatmeal or other hot cereal
Cinnamon sugar is such an easy thing to mix up that I can barely call it a recipe, but this is what I normally have on hand. You can also use brown sugar instead of white, to add a caramel note to the mixture.

- 1 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Mix together and store in an airtight jar.
I’ve been making this for many years. When I was young my mom would make a container of this and after we buttered our toast we would sprinkle this on the top of it. Yum!
