Recently the residents of Toronto Island generously opened their homes for us lucky visitors to tour, in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, organized by Grannies in Spirit.

Summer Linens

Happy summer! One way I celebrate the new season in my home is to change all my linens to the beautiful ones my mother lovingly hand-stitched. They are light, whimsical, and the perfect expression of summer.  

Our Mother’s Garden

Take a peek at our mother’s garden! Her flowers are clearly the most lush on the street, perhaps in the neighbourhood! Hyacinths are by far my favourite spring flower, so colourful and fragrant. I wasn’t so sure about these parrot tulips at first, but they are striking once they are fully opened!

Toronto Eats: Lunch at Salsas

Nestled in Kensington Market, Salsas is not an upscale restaurant. There’s a TV in the corner, sparse decorations, and the food is served in plastic baskets with a sheet of waxed paper to minimize cleanup.
