The Clover Hat by Kathy Merrick is a fun patterned hat that I crocheted in a day.

The clover pattern emerges as you crochet in the round with two contrasting colours. The pattern has a charted color-change pattern, with the color not used stranded across the back. Although I used two solid colours, the pattern recommends using slightly variegated yarns, which I think would look fantastic!

The pattern uses back loop only single crochet stitches in the round. This was the first time I did tapestry crochet, but it turned out to be very easy!

To make the Clover Hat, I used a 5.00 mm crochet hook. I also used 0.5 skein each of Cascade 220 Superwash Merino in worsted weight. This soft and bouncy yarn was a dream to work with. Since I only had two colours in my stash, so I obviously used pink (Azalea Pink) and grey (Silver Heather).

The Clover Hat pattern is in the book Crochet in Color by Kathy Merrick. Check it out on Ravelry here. The finished hat is also available to purchase in our Etsy store.
