Metiseko – Eco chic lifestyle

Donatello and I visited the charming town of Hoi An in Vietnam, where we were enchanted by the lantern-lined streets and rows of happy yellow houses. Not surprisingly, Hoi An is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and a photographer’s dream. The shopping is also amazing and we picked up our first piece original piece of art, a colourful oil painting depicting the streets of Vietnam, which currently hangs in our living room. Another treasure I stumbled upon was Metiseko, a local line of clothing and home wares.

Specializing in organic cotton and Vietnamese silk, Metiseko prides itself on being environmentally and socially responsible. And the clothes are gorgeous, featuring colourful patterns with a subtle Asian influence.

I especially loved the patterned silks, which were delicate and vibrant at the same time. With much difficulty, I narrowed down my list and chose a skirt with a green gingko leaf motif and those adorable scalloped shorts below. Metiseko also sells fabric by the metre and I regret not buying some silk to take home. Luckily though, Metiseko ships to most countries and anyone can order their delightful goods online.
