I am a jewelry addict: piles of chunky bracelets, tangles of delicate necklaces, and mounds of sparkly earrings burst from my bedroom. I have yet to find a way to properly store and display them all together, but here is one jewelry display project I have been planning for ages but only now completed. I am really happy with the result.

When I was travelling, even before working on the cruise ship, jewelry was always the perfect purchase: a silver ring hardly takes up any luggage space. When I returned home from a trip, I could wear the beautiful piece with the fond memory of my adventures.

 Directions

  1. Clean the frame with a damp cloth.
  2. Wearing protective gloves, fold duct tape along sharp sides of chicken wire to hide any jagged edges.
  3. Place the frame, good side down, on your work surface (or the floor if you’re on the short side like me) and lay chicken wire on top, aligning the corners.
  4. With the staple gun, staple two to three staples at each corner of the wire and two more along the lengths of the frame. Wire should be secure.
  5. Hang your dangliest and sparkliest earrings on frame to elegantly display and keep them from forming a giant mess in your jewelry box.
