Preheat oven to 300 F.
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugars until fluffy.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Beat in the vanilla and salt.
Add the peanut butter and beat until well blended.
Add the flour and baking soda and beat until flour is incorporated.
Mix in the chocolate chips.
Place dough by heaped tablespoons on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the cookies 20-23 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from oven and let cool for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack and let cool completely.
