Garlic Chive Kefir Spread

Equipment

  • fine metal sieve or cheesecloth

Ingredients

  • 1 cup kefir
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped finely
  • 1/4 tsp good mustard
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • To make the labneh, place a metal sieve over a large bowl. Pour kefir into sieve and place a plate securely on top. Place in fridge to drain for 24 hours.
  • When labneh has been drained, scrape the cheese off the sieve and add to a small bowl. The renaming kefir whey is not useful for this recipe so I usually add it to another kefir smoothie I have in the refrigerator.
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
